Love the top but not sure about what is going on with the fabric

I purchased this top recently & handwashesd it thinking the colours may run. Not sure what is going on but there bits of fibre from the fabric coming out. I changed the water at least 6 times or more & each time there will be fibre particles in the water. Not sure I should wear the top or not. Love the colour and style but a disappointing that maybe the quality is not so good.
